With their attention-drawing TV debut on SBS “K-pop Star 2” and winning first place in 2013, AKMU left a deep impression in the pop music industry with their upbeat, original songs such as “Don’t Cross Your Leg” and “You Are Attractive”. In 2014, AKMU debuted with their first studio album [PLAY]. With this album, the duo topped multiple music charts and proved to be capable singer-songwriters appealing both to the public and critics by winning multiple awards including Gaon Chart Music Awards and Korean Music Awards.
The duo continued their active musical career by releasing [SPRING] & [WINTER] series, and [SUMMER EPISODE]. Through [NEXT EPISODE], their first collaboration album under the theme of “Beyond Freedom”, the duo gained praise for significantly widening their musical spectrum.
Now in 2023, AKMU is back with their 4th SINGLE [Love Lee].
